Purification Effects from the Retreat

As we penetrate the surface of our egos and move deeply into the Spiritual Heart, we are bound to experience physical, emotional as well as mental purification. This is how old blockages, negative emotions and traumas are eliminated from our bodies in order to reach the deeper levels of the soul unhindered. Fret not! Don’t bypass this purification. Nevertheless, don’t sensationalize this and give it exaggerated importance. The synthesis of those transformation causes meditation to cease from being painful, boring or just a transitory experience, and truly turns out to be a deep, enjoyable and blissful experience. The length of time required to process these transformations depend mainly on the practicing individual’s awareness and practice. However, you cannot escape this change and the transformation can be profound and may even affect your life dramatically.

What to Expect

So, tell me what to expect from the Retreat? Nothing! Due to the indescribability ofwhat Divine Reality is, what we really are, this is a natural change that evolves from surrender, stillness, and, most importantly, from within our real selves.

Our aim is to provide the most favorable condition for the revelation of the Divine Reality in our Heart. This will make the meditations have profound effects on us. The mistake that people make is attaching themselves to the effects and recognitions.

You are not to cling to them because much more than these do occur when our being becomes open, and we are supposed to learn to surrender, accept and remain open to the flow and ebb of these recognitions.

The Spiritual Heart – Our Real Habitation

More than any other thing, this retreat is aimed at helping us center more in the Spiritual Heart. This implies that we need to get used to the awareness of that peaceful, quiet, boundless, and unending foundation of our unique being which the rational mind cannot perceive, and serves as the source of all beauty, love, inspiration, and spiritual life.

The Happiness of Practicing Hridaya Hatha Yoga

There is an intimate link between the universe and our being as far as the work with energies goes, this relation are highlighted below.

Our being:

  • receives energy
  • transforms energy
  • gives of energy

Our bodies in his entirety do not belong to us and we are not made of the physical body alone. Hridaya Yoga gives us awareness and amplifies the joy we derive from energy exchanges refined by our focusing in the heart, the presence of our spiritual aspiration and sacred tremor of the heart.

Ultimate happiness is derived by perceiving our true nature and not by pushing or moving energy through the body, chakra, nadis. When we allow the energies to flow freely through our physical bodies we duly express our deep understanding of this fact.

Joy, relaxation, openness and surrender are developed during Asana practice

In asana practice the spiritual heart expresses its radiant power of love and happiness.

Tensions, strains and stress can be removed from our body when we awaken and express the inner happiness and joy of the heart, using our bodies to allow happiness radiate through rather than focusing our attention on performing an artistic pose.

The conditions for experiencing spanda ‘spiritual heart pure vibration’ are fulfilled when there are no tensions and unnecessary muscle contractions resulting from body positioning in asana practice and a real blossoming of free flow of energies is felt.

Major differences exist between a sensorial, mental, emotional stimulus and spiritual fervor or Sacred Tremor. To sublimate our emotions, Open Attention which involves attention free from judgement must be undertaken.

Open attention does not take place instantly. To achieve sublimation a careful dwelling in void, non-reactivity is essential.  Ananda a state of intense pleasure and pure happiness of existence occur not just the feeling of individualized energy.

Yoga – Celebration and Surrender

Hridaya Yoga postures help us to open our hearts entirely and celebrate life. It shows a positive life affirming attitude while asana practice is not just an energizing and healthy exercise but a process leading to transformation and spiritual healing which brings about revelation of divine nature.

The revelation in which we experience during Yoga practice shows that yoga is strictly a spiritual art, and personal effort alone cannot achieve this feat, we are reminded that the revelations we experience occurs from the capacity of surrender or letting go off our personal limitations.

Our divine nature and reason for yoga practice should be put in mind when practicing asana.

The Witness Consciousness in Hatha Yoga

The attitude of Witness Consciousness used in this nature of hatha yoga has a hidden secret. The harmony of the asana naturally causes an intuition in the consciousness of the divine self and mutually our own intuitive knowledge of our divine nature. This detachment from the physical body allow for free flow of energy results in easy awakening of spiritual effervescence and the Sacred Tremor of the Heart. We long for the complete freedom and happiness of the Pure Existence of the ‘I am’ through hatha yoga.

It is crystal clear, hatha yoga eases the movement of energies in our body in conjunction with relaxation and flexibility we will have the feeling of freeness and balance, with a correct attitude. Yoga practice increases the energy ’prana’. Breath control ‘Pranayama’ is another effective way of increasing the awareness of our energies.

The practice of Hridaya Yoga helps to ensure efficient use of this strong vital energy, good judgment is required to express this vital energy in a sufficient manner to prevent misuse.
